what glugluglug keeps, and what it doesn't. last updated 21 August 2026.
The short version: without an account, nothing leaves your phone. With one, we keep your cellar so it can sync and be shared — and nothing else. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no selling anything to anyone.
glugluglug works free with no account. Your cellars, bottles and tasting notes are stored only on your device. We can't see them, because they never reach us.
The email address is the only contact detail we ever ask for, and it's optional. We don't ask for your phone number, contacts, or location.
That's the entire list. Your data is not sold, rented, or shared with anyone else.
People you add as friends can see the bottles and cellars you explicitly share with them, and your handle and name. Your tasting notes stay yours unless you turn that on in your profile. Someone can find you by handle so they can send a friend request — that's switchable too.
We keep your data while your account exists. Delete a cellar, bottle or note in the app and it's removed from our database. To delete your whole account and everything in it, email ken@np.lol from your account's handle and we'll erase it — no questions, within 30 days.
You can take your cellar with you any time: profile → export the cellar gives you a CSV of everything.
glugluglug is run from Norway and follows the GDPR. You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected, or have it deleted, by emailing ken@np.lol. The data controller is Ken Grønnbeck, Norway. If you think we've handled your data badly, you can complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.
glugluglug is about wine and is not intended for anyone under the legal drinking age.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the app will say so before the change applies.
